First Nations and Inuit Summer Work Experience Program – Indigenous Services Canada

Description of the Program

This program helps your organization hire First Nations or Inuit students for summer jobs to help them get skills, prepare for full-time employment and earn income to support their education.
The program funds activities for First Nations and Inuit secondary and post-secondary students aged 15 to 30, who usually live:

  • on reserve,
  • in recognized communities, or
  • on community lands.

Who can apply

You can be a partner if you are a:

  • First Nations or Inuit community, government or organization;
  • Not-for-profit group; or
  • Business.

Steps to apply

Fill out a proposal form on the Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) Services Portal. If you do not have access to the portal, contact your regional office.
