“ECCC is a respectful workplace that promotes diversity and inclusiveness. I am proud to work for a department that demonstrates these values.”

Meet Andy Kwan! An Economic Advisor with the Economic Analysis Directorate in the nation’s capital, Andy has been with Environment and Climate Change Canada for four years. He works with his colleagues to develop evidence-based environmental policies for current and future Canadians.

One of the things Andy enjoys most is meeting colleagues from a broad range of backgrounds including environmental science, engineering, biology and chemistry. He also appreciates that his ECCC colleagues are passionate about climate change and want to create a sustainable environment for present and future generations.

One of the biggest advancements Andy has seen while at ECCC, is the development of projections for air pollutant emissions in Canada, and their publication alongside the greenhouse gas emissions projections as part of Canada’s Biennial Report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Andy enjoys his work and finds motivation in all aspects of the work he does.
