“I am fortunate to be surrounded by experienced individuals within multidisciplinary domains from whom I can draw knowledge from and learn.”

Meet Carlos Jabbour! He has been with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) for over 3 years, and works out of Gatineau, Quebec. Carlos is a Senior Data Scientist in ECCC’s Enforcement Branch. He works with open source programming technologies which provide rich insights and meaningful patterns to help the Enforcement Branch to better predict where environmental non-compliance is likely to occur, and how best to respond.

Early in his career, Carlos tagged along with environmental enforcement officers during an inspection of a large-scale industrial facility. This experience heightened his understanding of the challenges faced by federal enforcement officers, and it continues to influence how he develops tools for the branch.

Carlos feels fortunate to be interacting with amazing people, and learning about new tools and technologies on a daily basis.
