“The very nature of the federal public servant function is to be serving citizens, and having the chance to play this role is a great source of my motivation.”

Meet Marie-Eve Vigneault, who works out of Quebec City as a Senior Business Analyst with Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC) Client and Planning Portfolio Management Division. As a new employee, Marie-Eve recognized from day one that she was part of a team for which the status quo was not an option. If there is room for improvement, the team pours its energy into changing things for the better. This has meant that each day Marie-Eve participates in advancements in her field of work.

In her almost 2-year career with ECCC, Marie-Eve’s greatest joy so far has been the team spirit that drives her division. “We lost a precious colleague last December and experienced a moment of great emotion together.” Her best memory has been the contagious joy left behind by this colleague, and the way it lives on through the daily work of her team.

Marie-Eve feels that she is part of the well-being of the ECCC community. “The whole is greater than the sum of the parts” is how she envisions each of us contributing to ECCC's overall mandate.
