“Through my work on climate change, I enjoy interpreting the complexities of pollutants’ behaviour in the environment, and their impact on day-to-day life.”

Meet Pierre Sylvestre, a Senior Engineer with Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Carbon Markets Bureau, located in Montreal, Quebec. Throughout Pierre’s thirty-year career, he maintains an appreciation for the positive difference he makes to protect Canada’s environment for his family, all Canadians, and future generations. Pierre is especially proud of his contribution to the publication of one of ECCC’s most comprehensive regulations in history – the Clean Fuel Standard. Also noteworthy was his work in helping to develop the biodiesel fuel industry in Canada, through the design of the Renewable Fuel Regulations.
