General safety precautions for temporary entry into ECCC buildings
June 17, 2020
From time to time, employees may need to access the workplace with special permission from their director general. In order to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace, we would like to remind all ECCC employees of the importance of self-assessing their health prior to coming to the workplace, no matter how brief the visit may be. If you are unwell or have symptoms of any kind, please stay home.
In addition, when in the workplace, physical distancing and proper hygiene remain our primary defence against COVID-19. So we ask all employees to maintain at least 2 metres distance from others, as well as to wash their hands often for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and hot water, especially when preparing food, before eating, or after using the washroom, as well as anytime a shared surface is touched.
Your health and safety remains our top priority, and more formal COVID-19 prevention training will be made available to all employees prior to any official start of activities in the workplace. For additional information, please refer to our COVID-19 General Safety Precautions for temporary entry into ECCC buildings (PDF).
In the meantime, let’s continue to work together to minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
