Minister McKenna to highlight women’s leadership in climate change at the 2018 Cities and Climate Change Science Conference

Ottawa, Ontario – March 4, 2018 – The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, will join other women leaders in a panel discussion on climate action and the role of women, in Canada and around the world, in advancing climate solutions. The event is part of the 2018 Cities and Climate Change Science Conference, where over 400 representatives from academia, research organizations, agencies, governments, and non-governmental organizations will share the latest scientific research on climate change and discuss the critical role cities play in promoting local climate solutions.
The event is cosponsored by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the City of Edmonton.
Media representatives are invited to attend the panel discussion, as well as the opening press conference.
