Minister McKenna visits Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine to promote nature conservation as an important heritage for future generations
Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Quebec – July 30, 2018 –The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, will visit Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, on July 30, to promote nature conservation as an important heritage for future generations.
Event: Meeting with the City of Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine
Minister McKenna will meet the director general of the city of Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Serge Rochon, to discuss nature conservation. There will be a media availability and photo opportunity following the meeting.

During her visits, Minister McKenna will be joined by ENGOs Attention FragÎles, Comité ZIP, and the Société de conservation des Îles-de-la-Madeleine, along with the Minister of National Revenue and Member of Parliament for Gaspésie–Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Diane Lebouthillier, and the mayor of Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Jonathan Lapierre.
