Montréal melons

In the mid-1990s, similar seeds were found in a seed bank in Iowa, in the United States. But after several trials, the debate continues: are they really Montréal Melon seeds? Although the flesh resembles the original melon, the flavour is less distinctive and they do not reach the legendary size. Perhaps we have yet to discover some of this precious seed stock stored away in a farmer’s basement since the 1940s (they could still be viable). The treasure hunt continues!
