Indoor garden

Visitors to the Biosphere can take a break and discover a different side of nature in the indoor garden, where straw paths and wooden walkways lead you through reproductions of 3 Canadian ecosystems: a pond, a peat bog and a forest. The reproductions are spread out over a slightly hilly terrain, adding to the landscape uniformity of this protected space where some of nature’s treasures are conserved.
While you’re there, take the time to learn more about ecosystem dynamics. Discover what kinds of animals live in these ecosystems and learn how to identify their tracks. The space also houses more than 20 plant species native to Canada.
The indoor garden is located in the centre of the museum. Although closed in winter, the garden can be admired year‑round through the large windows.
