Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999

Notice is hereby given that the Minister of the Environment, pursuant to subsection 129(3) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA), is varying the conditions of disposal at sea permit no. 4543-2-04453-03 as outlined below. The varied condition(s) are published in the Canadian Environmental Protection Act Registry on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

3. Duration of permit: The permit is valid from March 15, 2021, to March 14, 2022.

3.1. The loading and disposal at sea activities are restricted to the following periods: from March 15, 2021, to September 15, 2021 and from OCtober 11, 2021, to March 14, 2022. These activities must be carried out between 05:00 and 21:00.

3.2. A capelin observer must be present for the entire period of work between May 25, 2021 and July 10, 2021. No dredging activity is permitted within 15 days following the observation of signs of capelin reproduction (presence of fish or eggs).
