Integrating climate change adaptation considerations into federal contaminated sites management, version 1.0

This guidance document has been developed under the direction of the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP) Secretariat at Environment and Climate Change Canada to support FCSAP custodians (FCSAP funded federal departments, agencies, and consolidated Crown corporations), consultants, contractors and other partners with considerations related to climate change adaptation that should be incorporated during the process of contaminated sites management. The document provides examples of climate change adaptation considerations that could be included at each of the 10 steps of the FCSAP Decision-Making Framework, and helps custodians adapt their approaches to managing federal contaminated sites based on potential climate change hazards.
