Propane Heaters

The use of propane heaters results in the release of Criteria Air Contaminants (Part 4 Substances.)

Download spreadsheet calculator: Propane Heaters (Spreadsheet) [xls 98 KB] 4 Feb 2009

Suggested estimation methodology: Emission Factor

The general equation for emissions estimation in tonnes is:

E = (A x EF)/1000

where:

  • E = emissions
  • A = activity rate
  • EF = emission factor

Input Data

A = Amount of Propane Burned (cubic meters)
