Government of Canada Investment Supports Economic Development and Community Infrastructure in the Kenora Region

September 13, 2016 – Kenora, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario – FedNor

The Honourable Bob Nault, Member of Parliament for Kenora, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced an investment of $289,000 in support of three projects in the Kenora region (see attached Information Sheet).

Provided through the Community Futures and Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Programs, this FedNor investment will support community infrastructure projects, as well as business development and economic growth. Organizations that will benefit from this announcement include the Lake of the Woods Business Incentive Corporation, the Corporation of the City of Kenora, and the Lake of the Woods Development Corporation.
