Government of Canada Invests to Renovate the Community Hall in Ahmic Harbour

April 27, 2017 – Magnetawan, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

The Government of Canada is investing $67,676 to help the Municipality of Magnetawan repair and renovate the Ahmic Harbour Community Hall. Built in 1986, the facility is an important community hub used for public gatherings, community celebrations, and private functions, such as weddings and family reunions.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) investment. The funding will improve the centre’s accessibility and include kitchen updates, new washrooms, flooring, lighting, exterior siding and window replacement
