Spring is a wonderful season to clean out the cobwebs and start fresh. It’s also a good time to get on top of your finances. A little financial spring cleaning can go a long way toward improving your financial well-being.
One way to revitalize your finances this spring is to try out the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s (FCAC) newly updated Comparison Tools. These free, unbiased tools will help you get the best products for your situation!
First, our Credit Card Comparison Tool can help you quickly find the right credit card for your needs. There are a lot of credit card options out there, and choosing the right one can seem overwhelming. The Credit Card Comparison Tool allows you to compare the features of over 100 credit cards from more than 15 banks and credit unions, including their interest rates, annual fees, and rewards. The tool digs through all the information to provide you with a list of credit cards that meet your personalized criteria.
In the same way, our Account Comparison Tool will help you compare features of different chequing and savings accounts, including monthly fees, the number and types of transactions included, and interest rates. When you’re looking to open a new bank account, it’s a good idea to explore your options and make sure you choose the one that best suits your needs. This tool includes information about more than 150 chequing accounts and more than 70 savings accounts from more than 30 banks and credit unions.
It’s important to make sure you are getting the best deal possible and products that suit your needs in these two essential areas. Even a small difference in rates or fees can go a long way over time. FCAC regularly ensures Canada’s participating financial institutions keep their information in the Comparison Tools up to date and accurate for consumers.
