Minister of International Trade to travel to Washington, D.C.

April 30, 2016 - Ottawa, Ontario - Global Affairs Canada

The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of International Trade, will travel to Washington, D.C., on Monday, May 2, 2016. The Minister will attend a trilateral North American Competitiveness Workplan meeting with her U.S. and Mexican counterparts.

The trilateral meeting is in preparation for the upcoming North American Leaders’ Summit and is part of Canada’s efforts to foster a competitive, secure and sustainable North American region.

This is the first such trilateral meeting Canada has attended since October 2014.
