Minister Sajjan travels to United Arab Emirates and Kuwait

The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada, today announced that he will travel to the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait from December 7 to 12.

In Kuwait, Minister Sajjan will sign a memorandum of understanding on development cooperation on behalf of the Government of Canada to deepen collaboration between the two countries.

During this visit, Minister Sajjan will engage with his counterparts on shared humanitarian and development priorities, including food security, climate change, education, and women, peace and security. He will also engage with youth and other representatives from civil society organizations on a variety of topics such as climate action, gender equality and diversity.

In Dubai, Minister Sajjan will tour the International Humanitarian City and meet with UN and Red Cross Movement partners.
