Announcement of new diplomatic appointment

July 30, 2024 - Ottawa, Ontario - Global Affairs Canada

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointment:

Ulric Shannon becomes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Arab Republic of Egypt. Mr. Shannon replaces Louis Dumas.
