MaxSys Staffing and Consulting: Request HR Contractor to Assist with Hiring
With which third party is Health Canada sharing personal information
Under this contract, the Environmental and Radiation Health Sciences Directorate (ERHSD) at Health Canada (HC) shares personal information with MaxSys Staffing and Consulting Inc. This two-way, indeterminate disclosure came into effect on March 6, 2023. HC and MaxSys have reviewed this agreement and extended it until March 31, 2025.
Why is Health Canada sharing personal information
HC and MaxSys created this contract so that MaxSys can help with human resources staffing support for five (5) selection processes at the following groups and levels: PC-03, PM-05, PM-06, EC-05 and EC-06. The selection process includes application screening, written exams, virtual/video interviews and refence checks.
HC must share the personal information from candidates' job applications on the jobs.gc.ca with MaxSys. This is necessary for MaxSys to conduct exams, interviews, and reference checks. MaxSys must contact candidates to conduct the assessments and follow up about administrative details such as scheduling. MaxSys will provide the results to ERHSD and the Human Resources Services Division (HRSD) at HC who will use this information for staffing purposes. The Public Service Employment Act allows the collection and sharing of this information.
