Description

Health Canada is assessing the appropriateness of existing fees and charges, and the potential need to amend the Pest Control Products Fees and Charges Regulations, with a view to sustaining the department's activities and improving alignment with other regulatory programs. The set of proposed amendments focuses on the annual charge.

It is anticipated that the proposed regulatory amendments would:

Consultations

People in Canada will have the opportunity to provide comments on the proposed regulatory amendments during the Canada Gazette, Part I public comment period, which is expected to take place in spring 2024 and last 60 days. Consultations will occur prior to publishing in the Canada Gazette, Part II.

Health Canada plans to publish the amended Order in the Canada Gazette, Part ll, which is expected to take place in winter 2025.
