What happens after a complaint is submitted?

The person who submitted the complaint will receive an acknowledgement of receipt from the Pesticide Compliance Program (PCP). An inspector will then review and prioritize the complaint based on the information available. The inspector will follow up with the person who submitted the complaint if additional information is required.

The prioritization process helps determine the most effective means to support the protection of human health and the environment.

The PCP does not provide feedback on the status or outcome of a complaint to the person who submitted it.

PCP takes actions in response to complaints based on Health Canada's Compliance and enforcement policy for pesticides.
