Upcoming Consumer Product Safety Events

Coming Soon! Product Safety Lab to participate in Doors Open Ottawa

You are invited

The Mulligan Building at 1800 Walkley Rd has been home to Health Canada's Product Safety Laboratory since 1995. It's here that Health Canada scientists, technicians and engineers develop test methods and conduct tests to identify chemical, electrical, mechanical and flammability hazards for consumer products (the products we use every day). To celebrate 100 years of health with Canadians, Health Canada is opening our doors to the public. Catch a behind-the-science look to see how our lab helps keep Canadians and their families safe.

Remember lawn darts and baby walkers? The building also houses a tribute room for the consumer products that were once part of our culture but are now considered unsafe products.

Join us to learn more about consumer product safety!
