Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act and Regulations, is granting full registration for the sale and use of Aureobasidium pullulans DSM 14940, Aureobasidium pullulans DSM 14941 and Botector containing the technical grade active ingredients Aureobasidium pullulans strain DSM 14940 and strain DSM 14941, to suppress anthracnose fruit rot and phomopsis leaf blight on certain berries as well as botrytis grey mould on some berries, fruiting vegetables, leafy vegetables and ornamentals grown in field and in greenhouses or protected environments.
This decision is consistent with the Proposed Registration Decision PRD2017-08, Aureobasidium pullulans strain DSM 14940 and Aureobasidium pullulans strain DSM 14941, whichcontains a detailed evaluation of the information submitted in support of this registration. The evaluation found that, under the approved conditions of use, the products have value and do not present an unacceptable risk to human health or the environment. The PMRA received no comments on PRD2017-08, Aureobasidium pullulans strain DSM 14940 and Aureobasidium pullulans strain DSM 14941.
