Narrator: The holidays are coming, and the Thuot-Fortins spend lots of quality time together, because they got everything ready ahead of time!
Flashback: In the kitchen, the family takes fruits and vegetables out of grocery bags.
Daughter: Thank you, sir!
Pierre-Alexandre Fortin et Saskia Thuot face the camera.
Saskia Thuot: Since we started planning our meals and snacks in advance, our preparation for the holiday season is more relaxed than it used to be.
The son and his father load freezer bags of food into the freezer.
Pierre-Alexandre: It's great to be ready when people stop by unexpectedly.
In the kitchen, Pierre-Alexandre peels sweet potatoes.
Son: Can I try?
Pierre-Alexandre: Yes, put them here.
He explains to his son how to peel the sweet potatoes.
Saskia Thuot: This year I'm putting sweet potatoes on the Christmas menu. they're good mashed, and they're full of vitamins.
With her daughter's help, Saskia refills the jars of nuts and dried fruit.

Pierre-Alexandre: Little jars and sweet potatoes!
