Terrilynn Flynn has dedicated her career to remote and Northern Nursing.

In 2012 Terrilynn set out on a new challenge in Iqaluit, Nunavut.  Having grown up in a small Newfoundland community, Terrilynn identifies with the community pride of the Inuit people.

At Qikiqtani General Hospital, Terrilynn delivers family-centered care with newborns to elders and takes care of traumas in the Emergency Room and ICU.

Terrilynn has embraced her new life in the north both on the job and in the hours after the work day has ended. She is learning Inuktitut with the expectation that she will be serving the people of Nunavut for a long time to come.

Terrilynn Flynn is a recipient of a National Award for Excellence in Nursing.
