Internal Audits and Evaluations

Internal Audits

The mission, vision and values described in CIC’s Internal Audit Charter, together with the Treasury Board’s Policy on Internal Audit and directive, provide the fundamental framework for the audit planning process at CIC. CIC’s audit strategy is outlined in its risk-based audit plan, which forms the basis for audit activities within the Department.

In accordance with the Policy on Internal Audit, the Department carries out audits based on plans recommended for approval by the Departmental Audit Committee. The list of audit projects included below is from the CIC 2013–2016 multi-year risk-based audit plan. The objective is to post internal audit reports to CIC’s Web site within three months of the Departmental Audit Committee review and Deputy Minister approval.
