IEC participants: Requirements for travel to Canada
As an IEC participant, you can only travel to Canada if you have a port of entry letter of introduction and
- you’re fully vaccinated
- you have proof of a valid job offer and can start your job as soon as you complete your quarantine
- Make sure you check the start date on your job offer before you travel.

We are committed to processing most complete applications within the above service standard. We will update this later in the season when we receive and finalize enough applications to calculate a processing time.
International Experience Canada (IEC) provides youth with the opportunity to travel and work in Canada.
Applying for IEC
Canada has implemented a number of temporary measures, including travel restrictions, to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
You can still travel to Canada under IEC if you’re fully vaccinated or have a current, valid job offer. Make sure you carefully look at the application process to ensure you
