Indigenous Capacity Support Program – Stream 3, Strategic Opportunities

The funding application period for the Indigenous Capacity Support Program – Stream 3 Strategic Opportunities – is now open. The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency) is making funding available through this program to support Indigenous communities and organizations so they may better participate in current and future assessments. This funding is provided outside the context of specific project reviews.

Who can apply

Indigenous communities and organizations currently engaged in more than one project assessment subject to the Impact Assessment Act are invited to apply.

The Agency will consider applicants who meet the program’s criteria and eligible activities.

The amount of funding per successful applicant depends on the complexity and cost of activities proposed, and the availability of budget.

Applications can be sent to indigenouspolicy-politiquesautochtone@iaac-aeic.gc.ca using your preferred template in Microsoft Word or PDF format.

Deadline

Applications received by November 5, 2021 will be considered. Applications received after that date may be considered depending on funding availability.
