Vision Care Provider Agreement

The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program initiated a new national provider enrolment process in March 2015. This new process ensures that all providers have a clear understanding of NIHB Program policies and procedures.  This does not involve any policy changes.

Eligible providers were invited to enrol with Health Canada under this new process by completing a Provider Agreement.

We had allowed for a transition period by continuing to process requests and invoices from providers who had not yet completed a Provider Agreement.  However, providers who submit prior approval requests and who have not yet completed a Provider Agreement will now be required to do so before we will process the request or invoice.

To avoid any delays in processing your next submission, we encourage you to enrol by completing and returning your Provider Agreement today.
