Canadian International Trade Tribunal procurement inquiry jurisdiction regarding the Canada-European Union (EU) Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)

Ottawa, Ontario, September 21, 2017— The Canadian International Trade Tribunal notes the following development published in the Canada Gazette (Part II, September 7, 2017, Extra, Vol. 151, No. 1) in regards to the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Beginning on September 21, 2017, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Procurement Inquiry Regulations (SOR/93-602) have been amended to add the CETA to the list of trade agreements under which the Tribunal can review designated Federal Government procurements.
