Canada's Minister of Natural Resources to Attend 2015 IEA Ministerial Meeting in Paris

PARIS, FRANCE — The Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of Natural Resources, will participate in the 2015 International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Ministerial Meeting from November 17 to 18, 2015, in Paris, France.
Minister Carr will meet with many of his international counterparts for the first time and will discuss Canada’s commitment to creating clean jobs, promoting energy innovation and protecting global energy security. The Minister will also reiterate Canada’s commitment to being an engaged and key player on climate change ahead of the 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) meeting in Paris in two weeks’ time.
The 2015 IEA Ministerial Meeting brings together energy ministers from 39 countries and will focus on increasing international cooperation to achieve a clean and secure energy future for the world.
