The Honourable Jim Carr, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, today announced that he will host his counterparts from the United States and Mexico at the North American Energy Ministers Meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on February 11 and 12, 2016.

This meeting will allow Minister Carr, Pedro Joaquín Coldwell, Mexico’s Secretary of Energy, and Dr. Ernest Moniz, the United States Secretary of Energy, to build a foundation for greater continental focus on climate change and energy collaboration.

The three energy leaders will meet face to face and with key stakeholders to share efforts and build strategies for clean and unconventional energy sources and energy trade.

This is the second meeting between Minister Carr, Secretary Moniz and Secretary Joaquín Coldwell since the government was elected. They met in November at the International Energy Agency’s Ministerial meeting in Paris, where they committed to working together toward achieving a clean and secure energy future for North America.
