Minister Carr to attend the International Energy Agency Ministerial

OTTAWA — Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jim Carr, will attend the International Energy Agency (IEA) Ministerial in Paris, France, November 7-8, 2017. He will confirm Canada’s role as a trusted international leader, through our commitment to clean energy, gender equality, innovation and energy security.  

At the IEA Ministerial, Minister Carr will hold meetings with international counterparts to discuss the important role Canada plays in the global low-carbon economy. The Minister will host a roundtable meeting with CEOs from international energy companies participating in the Ministerial and will make remarks at a discussion on women’s leadership and participation in the energy sector.

While abroad, the Minister will build on the momentum of Generation Energy and promote Canada’s vast opportunities in renewable, clean and energy efficient technologies.
