Institut Maritime du Québec (IMQ)
Recognized for its leadership, the Institut Maritime du Québec (IMQ), founded in 1944, is the largest Francophone maritime college in Canada. It provides workforce training in four areas of specialization: naval architecture, navigation, marine mechanical engineering, and operations management and logistics. To fulfill its mission of supporting the maritime and near-maritime industry, IMQ's Continuing Education offers accredited, regulated, and customized training through its Maritime Emergency Duties Training Center (CFMU) and its Center for Professional Diving Training (CFPP). IMQ also works closely with Innovation Maritime (IMAR), an applied maritime technology research center. Memorial University
The Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University is Canada’s most comprehensive centre for education, training, applied research and industrial support for the ocean industries.
