This media availability will take place during the German Federal Foreign Minister’s visit to Canada. The ministers will discuss the special role of Canada and Germany, as close partners in the vital transatlantic alliance, in confronting the growing geopolitical instability. Key issues will include supporting Ukraine and defending global and regional peace and security, and dealing with the implications of Russia’s unjustifiable war of aggression, including energy and food security crises.
July 7, 2022 - The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, will host the United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai, and Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, Tatiana Clouthier Carrillo, in Vancouver from July 7 to 8, 2022.
While in Vancouver, Minister Ng, Ambassador Tai and Secretary Clouthier will engage in important trilateral discussions at the Free Trade Commission Meeting, in addition to meeting with stakeholders and bilateral meetings. They will also hold a trilateral joint media event to recognize the collaboration and successes of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) on the occasion of its second anniversary.
