Today, the Government of Canada announced over $2.2M in funding to ensure Western Canada cleantech businesses and SMEs across all sectors in BC recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding will help seven organizations provide key resources such as resiliency programs and market development initiatives to qualified businesses.

WD will invest $3 million to support the Smart Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure Association (SSRIA) establish a network of test buildings where construction and engineering firms can test products under different conditions. WD funding is in addition to $2.8 million from Alberta Innovates, an in-kind contribution from industry, and $165,000 from the SSRIA.
