Toronto, Ontario – The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will welcome Germany’s Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil, to Canada on May 8-9. As the April 30 tax filing deadline has passed, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is pleased to report on the 2026 tax season. During this period, more than 28.5 million tax returns were filed, 95.6% of them online.
