On November 5, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will participate in an armchair discussion at an event co-hosted by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec and the Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain.

On November 3rd, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will continue the pre-budget tradition of selecting a new pair of shoes ahead of tabling the budget. The Minister will visit Boulet Boots, in Saint-Tite. He will tour the facility and experience hands-on how to craft, mould, and build a uniquely Canadian pair of shoes. The Minister will answer questions from the media after the tour.

To restore fairness to the sector and ensure workers are receiving the benefits they deserve, Budget 2025 will provide $77.0 million over four years, starting in 2026-27, with ongoing funding of $19.2 million annually, for the Canada Revenue Agency to lift the moratorium on the penalties for failure to report fees for service transactions in the trucking industry and to implement a focused program that addresses non-compliance issues related to personal services businesses and reporting fees for service.
