Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Financial Affairs. The ministers discussed the shared priority of negotiations towards a Canada-UAE foreign investment promotion and protection agreement (FIPA).

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Antony Blinken, United States Secretary of State, spoke on Friday November 17 to discuss the Israel-Hamas conflict.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed Peru’s priorities, as Peru will hold the chair of APEC in 2024. Minister Ng took this opportunity to highlight the long-standing history of diplomatic relations between Canada and Peru and the importance of their trade and investment relationship.
Minister Ng underscored Canada’s commitment to working closely with WTO members to find solutions on key priorities including e-commerce, agriculture and food security, fisheries subsidies, and dispute-settlement reform.
