Caregivers will now have access to new pathways to permanent residence
Launching 2 new 5-year caregiver immigration pilot programs
February 23, 2019—Toronto, ON– Caregivers will soon have access to 2 new 5-year caregiver immigration pilots that will replace expiring and ineffective pilot programs. The new pilots will allow caregivers to come to Canada together with their family and provide a pathway to permanent residence.

February 8, 2019—Dartmouth, NS—Pre-arrival settlement services are a key element of Canada’s immigration program. They provide newcomers, including refugees, with the information and settlement support they need to make informed decisions about their new life in Canada before they arrive, such as how to prepare for finding a job. To help deliver these important services, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be providing funding of $1.1 million to the Fédération acadienne de la Nouvelle-Écosse (FANE).
