The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, and Stéphanie Vallée, Minister of Justice and Attorney General for Quebec, have asked the Canadian Judicial Council for a new inquiry into the conduct of the Honourable Justice Michel Girouard of the Superior Court of Quebec.
A well-functioning justice system is one that serves all Canadians, protects the vulnerable, and builds a safer and better Canada. It is especially important to include the voices of those most affected by the justice system – victims and survivors.
