142 projects identified for funding to date
Clean Water and Wastewater Fund
The Government of Canada is providing $70,600,134 under the new Clean Water and Wastewater Fund for 134 projects to rehabilitate and improve community water and wastewater systems. The federal government will provide up to 50% of the eligible project costs under this fund. The combined contribution of $141,200,268 will go towards providing Newfoundlanders and Labradorians with clean reliable water sources.
As part of the bilateral agreement with Newfoundland and Labrador, the following projects have been approved to date for funding amounting to $69,642,174. Projects will begin development work immediately. Additional projects will be identified in the coming weeks.

Public Transit Infrastructure Fund
The Government of Canada is providing Newfoundland and Labrador with $4,940,000 under the new Public Transit Infrastructure Fund (PTIF) for projects to improve public transit services. The federal Government will fund up to 50% of the eligible project costs under this Fund. The combined contribution of $9,880,000 will be going toward public transit projects across the region.
As part of the bilateral agreement with Newfoundland and Labrador, the following projects have been approved for funding amounting to $1,618,702 to date. Projects will begin development work immediately. Additional projects will be identified in the coming weeks.
