• The funding announced today is in addition to the projects announced for the City of Ottawa on May 23, 2017, which received over $45 million in joint federal-provincial funding under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund. When combined, the City is receiving more than $69 million for 39 projects.

• The Government of Canada will invest more than $180 billion over 12 years in public transit projects, green infrastructure, social infrastructure, trade and transportation routes, and Canada’s rural and northern communities.

• $21.9 billion of this funding will support green infrastructure projects, including $5 billion that will be available for investment through the Canada Infrastructure Bank.

• Ontario is making the largest investment in hospitals, schools, public transit, roads, bridges, water and wastewater in the province's history – more than $190 billion in public infrastructure over 13 years, starting in 2014–15.
