Backgrounder

Investments of nearly $60.9 million

Public Transit Infrastructure Fund

The governments of Canada and Quebec are investing $60,869,070 in 24 projects being undertaken by the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) to improve commute times, reduce air pollution, strengthen communities and grow the regional economy.

The Government of Canada is contributing $33,831,150, representing 50 per cent of the total eligible costs, and the Province is providing $27,064,920, representing 40 per cent of the total eligible costs. The RTC will provide the remaining funding.
