Military Police

  • I am concerned about how a military police member behaved while performing policing duties. What can I do?

    You can submit a complaint about the conduct of military police in the performance of policing duties.

    You can file a conduct complaint with the Canadian Forces Provost Marshal by phone, fax, mail, or hand-delivery.

    If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your complaint, you can ask the Military Police Complaints Commission (MPCC) to conduct a review. Call 1-800-632-0566 (toll free) or 613-947-5625.

    Note: In keeping with our mandate, we will not address any complaint or other matter that is under investigation according to Part IV of the National Defence Act – Complaints About or by Military Police.

  • I’m a military police member, and feel that the chain of command has interfered with an investigation. What can I do?

    Any military police member who has reasonable grounds to believe the chain of command has interfered with an investigation may submit an interference complaint to the Military Police Complaints Commission (MPCC).

    Note: In keeping with our mandate, we will not address any complaint or other matter that is under investigation according to Part IV of the National Defence Act – Complaints About or by Military Police.
