Parks Canada is hiring students on Prince Edward Island for 2019 summer season

Annual student recruitment campaign runs from January 7 to February 8

Parks Canada is offering students the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment on Prince Edward Island through the Parks Canada Student Employment Program. The annual recruitment campaign runs from January 7th to February 8th, 2019 with a goal of filling more than 100 positions at PEI National Park, Green Gables Heritage Place, and Skmaqn—Port-la-Joye—Fort Amherst National Historic Site.

As part of the Parks Canada’s team, students will have an opportunity to positively impact visitor experiences at the national park and national historic sites in Prince Edward Island. Students will gain valuable experience working in an encouraging team environment while learning practical, highly marketable, and transferable skills that will help them as they advance in their careers.

Parks Canada is looking for students with a wide range of interests and skills to fill a variety of positions. Openings are available in visitor services as heritage and park communicators and musician/animators, in janitorial and grounds services, and in public relations and communications. There is even an opportunity to work as an “Anne”-imator at Green Gables Heritage Place!

Both bilingual and English-speaking students who are currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary programs will be hired to support operations at Parks Canada’s sites in PEI.
