The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is committed to working in a trauma-informed way and to making culturally appropriate support available to those who shared their truths during the Truth Gathering process. To date, more than 2000 family members and survivors of violence accessed the National Inquiry's short-term aftercare services.

If you qualified and your aftercare plan was approved prior to the end of the National Inquiry’s mandate, and you have not received payment, please complete the information below and you will be contacted.

Long-term aftercare

Long-term aftercare

Longer-term aftercare services are available through Indigenous Services Canada ISC Services Page from now until 2020. Services include counselling and cultural support services for survivors, family members and those affected by the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.

The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls provided funding to more than 100 organizations to host community gatherings and events, in order to further the healing of families and survivors of violence, and to mark the occasion of the end of the National Inquiry’s mandate.

The information you provide on this document is collected by (for) the Government of Canada under the authority of the Privy Council Office’s (PCO) Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls for the purpose of outstanding invoices and/or payments. Based on the type of online services requested, personal information will be stored in PCO’s personal information bank (PIB) related to Accounts Payable, Bank Number: PSU 931.  A description of the related PIBs can be found here.  Personal information will be protected under the provisions of the Privacy Act. Information about the functions, programs, activities and related information holdings of government institutions is subject to the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.
