Advice of the Advisory Committee on Human Pathogens and Toxins Regarding Emergomyces spp.

The Advisory Committee on Human Pathogens and Toxins (AC-HPT) was presented risk assessment findings of Emergomyces spp. as well as information from external experts. The AC-HPT advised that Emergomyces spp. (Emergomyces pasteurianus, Emergomyces canadensis, and Emergomyces europaeus) should be classified as Risk Group 2 based on the current evidence available.
