Launch Ceremony for Vaccination Week in the Americas 2026

April 24, 2026, Ottawa, Ontario – The Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health and Dr. Jarbas Barbosa, Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), will co-host the Launch Ceremony for Vaccination Week in the Americas 2026. The event convenes countries and partners from across the Americas to promote awareness of, and access to, vaccination throughout the region.
A media scrum will take place after the Launch Ceremony.

- Accredited on-site media check-in: 10:00 to 10:45 am ET
- Launch Ceremony: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm ET
- Media scrum: 12:15 to 12:30 pm

Pre-registration for media accreditation
Media must register in advance to attend the launch ceremony in person and the media scrum (in person only).

Event location details will be provided to media following registration.
Deadline: Sunday, April 26, 2026, by 17:00 (ET)
The opening ceremony will also be available to stream on YouTube @PAHOTV.
Simultaneous interpretation
Accredited media attending on-site may request an audio headset at the check-in desk for simultaneous English or French interpretation of the launch event.
Media participating virtually may select either simultaneous French or English interpretation.
There will be no interpretation for the in-person media scrum.
